Katrin From BLACK BOX
.Catherine Quinol was born in the Paris region to Guadeloupean parents at the end of the sixties, under the sign of Capricorn.
Her attractive physique opened the doors to modeling, and at 18, she was offered a contract in Italy. She settled there and took the pseudonym KATRIN. On weekends, she worked in a nightclub as a dancer and singer, improvising to the music played by the DJ.
The project is called BLACK BOX and the title is "Ride On Time". Its beauty, trendy and laid-back look, performance skills, and energy are assets that attract them.
Katrin plays along and "Ride On Time" quickly rises into the Top 5 in many countries, notably in England where it reaches number one ("Ride On Time" is the best-selling single in England for the year 1989 and the best-selling Dance Music single to date).
The BLACK BOX tornado is launched, fueled by a slew of hits, like "Strike It Up" and "Everybody Everybody" which ranked #1 on the Billboard Dance (USA), and the cover of the group EARTH, WIND & FIRE "Fantasy" which ranked #3 in Australia.
The album "Dreamland" by BLACK BOX is gold in France, England, and the United States, and double platinum in Australia and Canada.
Katrin travels the world, does what she loves, embodies the BLACK BOX project on stage, in the music videos, on the covers, and promotes it to the media (interviews, TV...), for the 7 international singles from "Dreamland", and more:
